What the Social Skills Group Includes :
|

10 week, 1.5 hour sessions
-
Sessions begin in the fall and continue
running for the duration of the school year
-
2:5 staff to child ratio;
-
Group Size of 4 to 6 children
-
Ages 3-5, 5-7, 7-9
-
Group matching based on ability level &
target goals
-
Session summaries of targeted skill areas
to be carried over at home

Pre-requisites to be included in a
Social Skills Group:

Ability to respond to instructions
-
Use sentences to communicate
-
Imitate the actions of others
-
Understand basic turn taking
-
Show an interest in play activities
and games
-
Demonstrate low levels of
challenging behavior
